Rab se maanga tha ek aasha,
usne roshni de di.
Har subah uska shukr ada
karna hi ashirwad hai.
Dua chhoti ho ya badi,
faith bada hona chahiye.
Bhagwan ke raste ajeeb hote hain,
par safe.
Har dukh me ek seekh,
bhagwan hi sikhate hain.
Aankhon me vishwas,
mann me shanti — wahi bhakti hai.
Jab sab khatam lage,
bhagwan saath hota hai.
Dua me imandari ho
toh jawaab milta hai.
Bhagwan ka naam lo,
zindagi aasan ho jati.
God ka plan better hota
hai humare plans se.
Har subah uski kirpa chaho
aur din shuru karo.
Bhagwan se expectations kam,
gratitude zyada.
Jo chahte ho,
shukr karna seekho — phir milega.
Faith me power hoti,
doubt me weakness.
Bhagwan ke haath me sab kuch,
vishwas dil me.
Har mushkil me uska
haath pakad lo.
Prayer simple rakho,
dil se karo.
Bhagwan ki timings perfect hoti hain.
Jab andhera jyaada ho,
bhagwan ka chirag jagmaga.
Dua mein consistency ho,
miracle aata hai.
Har gift bhagwan se hai,
thank you bolo.
Uske bina kuch bhi permanent nahi.
Bhagwan ka darshan hi
soul ko soothe karta.
Gratitude daily habit banao,
faith strong hoga.
Bhakti se mann halka hota hai.
Bhagwan ki kripa se
life transform hoti.
Shraddha rakho,
phir raaste khud banenge.
God ka pyaar unconditional hota hai.
Urdu and Hindi poetry share a long tradition of devotional verse: the hamd and naat of the Urdu world, and the bhajan and dohas of the Hindi one. What unites them is intimacy — the poet speaks to God the way one speaks to a close friend who is also beyond understanding.
The verses here are non-sectarian on purpose. They talk about trust, patience and thankfulness, which every faith recognises.
Editor's picks: original god couplets
Jab raaste band lage, tab bhi koi darwaza khulta hai,
Bas yaqeen ka diya jalaye rakhna.
Faith as a lamp in a closed room.
Maine kuch nahi maanga, bas shukr kiya,
Aur zindagi ne jholi bhar di.
Gratitude that attracts more than asking.
Teri raza mein meri raza shamil ho jaye,
Bas itni si dua hai meri.
Surrender in two lines.
Sabr ka phal der se milta hai,
Par jab milta hai to mehfooz rehta hai.
Patience rewarded durably.
